Measurement data is then converted into keyboard codes, enabling interaction with any software such as Microsoft® Excel® working with keyboard entries (HID). When using the VCP (virtual COM-Port) driver which is part of USB-ITPAK Vers. 3 (easy input mode version), a fixed COM-Port assignment in Microsoft® Windows® is possible. A VCP can be used e.g. for professional SPC software like Mitutoyo MeasurLink. The driver is available online, free of charge.
